ALI AKBAR

Ali Akbar graduated with honors in January of 2008, with a degree in Fine Arts from National College of Arts (NCA). His miniature paintings caught the immediate attention of prominent art critics in Pakistan. He has been part of several group shows and continues to exhibit his work in Lahore and Islamabad.

Although working within the confines of traditional miniature technique, Ali has introduced new scale and subject matter not previously found in miniature work. His paintings although conceptual, have very real and serious social commentary as its basis. He is influenced by his environment and expresses his opinions through his work in a very subtle and unique way.

His work has been highlighted in several national and international publications, and as a result has a growing international audience of art collectors.
